We’re not the first to give the Skip Hop Duo high marks: Baby Bargains selected it as the best diaper bag of 2017, BabyList called it one of its best picks of 2017, and Meg Collins of Lucie’s List named it among her favorites. It is among the most popular diaper bags on Amazon, averaging just over 4.5 stars (out of five) across more than 1,000 reviews as of summer 2017. Although few would mistake it for some of the $200-and-up diaper bag options out there, its style is sophisticated for what it is. One Wirecutter staffer seeing it for the first time said it looked most similar to our upgrade pick, “with fewer bells and whistles”—a strong endorsement considering she didn’t yet know that this cost about a third of the price of the other bag. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/aa/61/ec/aa61ec0365d6984d55f32cb9b70143cf--makeup-foundation-younique.jpg
No matter which style you choose, you should think about how you'll be able to put it onto one of our best strollers: down in the stroller's basket, or would you like to hang it on the stroller's handlebars? If the latter, you should go ahead and buy a diaper bag that includes stroller straps, like several of our top-rated bags. We suspect you'll use that feature a lot. Of course, always use caution when hanging the diaper bag on the handlebars of your stroller: when you take your baby out, the stroller will flip over backwards (unless the bag is super light)! So definitely make sure that the stroller you choose has a nice large basket to fit your diaper bag. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/dc/1c/e8/dc1ce83eff5645ec01292822ca5c10c6.jpg
I loved the SkipHop when we had two kids, but it didn’t hold up well and I decided a back pack was a must. As my younger boys grew, I’d take one of their Pottery Barn backpacks to amusement parks, MLB games, the zoo, etc. They worked great for these trips but I wasn’t a fan of the robots or Spider-Man. For baby number 3, I got a Vera Bradley backpack that I love. The laptop compartment is perfect for a changing pad, diapers, and wipes. The rest of the bag has a good amount of pockets. Also because it’s not technically a diaper bag, I will continue using it as needed after we are out of the baby stage. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/f1/6c/fa/f16cfa453e98f0e83a14c2f8b25c341a.jpg
The Baby By Thirty-One City Park Diaper Bag in Whisper Grey is a part of the new Baby by Thirty-One line and is way more than a diaper bag! All the functionality of a large diaper bag, but with the modern style of an urban tote. Lots of interior and exterior pockets, including a thermal zipper pocket and hidden cell phone pocket. Carry it as a tote, or sling it over your shoulder with the adjustable crossbody strap. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/8e/bd/ac/8ebdac49b69389b785fb45797e510d60.jpg
I was also sent the adorable icon coin purses to review, and they are so fun! All of my three kids got one to put on their backpacks for lunch money or chapstick. They love that they have a special place for their important items and it really helps them to keep track of their lunch money better. I like that you can mix and match the coin purses with the whimsical characters and bright colors. They look great on a black bag as a pop of color or on a child’s backpack. They are also the perfect size for a pacifier holder on your diaper bag! https://i.pinimg.com/originals/03/6f/bc/036fbc50aeee99e2a702e91382a0a762.jpg
Do you like the SkipHop Grand Central, but think it's a bit too pricey? Then this tote diaper bag is definitely the next-best option for you. This awesome diaper bag, the SOHO Grand Central, is similarly styled with some very similar functionalities, but at about half the price. While the SkipHop has most features integrated right into the bag, this one takes a different approach and has them as separate pieces. There's a separate zippered and insulated baby bottle bag, a separate diaper clutch (for disposable or cloth diapers, of course!), changing pad, toiletries bag, and a little wallet. It has 5 different little bags for various things, it took a while to figure out what it was all about. But once we did, we loved it. Being able to take everything out separately is a different style, but we got used to it and ended up liking it. Going to the register at Starbucks? Just bring the wallet part. Going to a bench to bottle feed? Just bring the bottle pouch. It made some sense, and also made cleaning a bit easier when you can wash each part separately. Like the SkipHop it has zippered front pockets, convenient side exterior pockets for pacifiers, and is overall about the same size as the SkipHop, though the opening did stretch a bit wider overall. It includes some stroller straps, which are a nice touch, though definitely use caution with a heavy diaper bag to prevent the stroller from tipping over backwards. The quality isn't quite on par with the SkipHop, especially in terms of the inner liner, seams, and zippers, but we thought at about half the price it deserved a high spot on our best diaper bags list. Highly recommended! Interested? Check out the SOHO Grand Central diaper bag here. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/df/1b/89/df1b894113d35ca669540aa55645b98b--la-boutique-poppies.jpg
Being able to tote around key essentials means you can deal with whatever scenario arises without having to pack up and head home. That being said, you can use a regular backpack or tote bag to cart around what your child needs. You can even slip a changing clutch—a folded changing pad you can tuck diapers and the bare essentials inside of—into your usual bag.
I just had a party with Monica Nickerson in West Allis, WI. She was the nicest, quickest to respond ...and most helpful women ever! She brought so many fun things to the show and was interested in what we needed. The show was perfect getting us ready for the holidays. I received the order and everything was beautiful! I’ll definitely be hosting again with Monica, she’s delightful and the products are amazing! Does anyone else plan on using or have used a thirty one bag as their diaper bag? If so which one and how has it worked out for you? I absolutely love the idea of being able to personalize my diaper bag with the name and colors! But I'm not sure exactly what size I'll need to buy or which would be a better bag. I have a few ideas in mind though, i'm deciding between the utility tote, cindy tote or the retro metro bag. they're all too adorable and so many ways to personalize which is the best part about them! Such a tough decision, so many options Also what is the most important thing you're looking for in a diaper bag? https://i.pinimg.com/564x/11/2b/7d/112b7dcede6e7899d425dabc49578a1f.jpg
Working at 31 gifts I really was focused on my customers and the relationships with them. I did not work for 31 to promote or make a lot of money. I wanted to connect with people and help them in the way of customer service I hadn't previously experienced. I learned more about communication and the most rewarding part of the job was when a customer was completely satisfied and referred me as a consultant to a friend. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/63/98/67/63986718ddebadab436224a8b166f428.jpg
Skip Hop makes some excellent diaper bags, and this one is no exception. The Skip Hop Duo Signature has a slightly more modern styling than the classic lines and colors of the Grand Central models, and is shaped more like a tote or over-the-shoulder bag than it is a purse. It's narrow and deep rather than wide and short, and a bit smaller overall than the purse-shaped models, so it's good for someone who doesn't want to be lugging around a truly enormous diaper bag. It's also about the same width as most strollers, so it doesn't stick out on the sides a lot when you hang it on the handlebars. But while it's smaller overall, it's still super functional. It has 10 pockets, a separate insulated bottle holder, a breathable side pocket, a key ring clip, diaper changing pad, and a great interior liner. The Skip Hop Duo's main interior pocket is super deep and we loved the lining, it was soft but also rugged enough to make wipe-cleaning easy. The padded shoulder strap was comfortable, as were the padded carry-handles. We were able to fit everything in that we needed, including diapers, wipes, baby bottles, and cloths. Being relatively tall, we found that when it was fully loaded it did tend to topple over sometimes. We also found it less convenient to reach in and easily grab something, since things tended to get stacked on top of one another, so this design might not be for everyone. Also, the changing pad was a bit small relative to some others on this list. So, this Skip Hop Duo Signature model is an excellent diaper bag, with some minor drawbacks. Note that Skip Hop also makes a Skip Hop Duo Diaper Backpack that is very similar to this but in the backpack style, and is also very well-reviewed. Interested? It has plenty of interior and exterior pockets to organize all our stuff (even for all 3 kids). It has shoulder straps and a removable cross-body strap, it has clips to attach it so a stroller, it zips closed (and has a couple zippered outside pockets), it’s big enough but not TOO big, and it’s super cute! In fact, most people don’t even realize it’s a diaper bag until they see the sippy cups popping out! https://i.pinimg.com/originals/6b/ba/99/6bba99157d08f1def0841f035a43c709.jpg
