Diaper bags are specifically designed to schlep all the things you need for your baby or toddler. Chances are, your little angel will surprise you with the biggest, smelliest, most disgusting blowout when you are miles away from home. Diaper bags generally come equipped with a changing pad, and have room to hold diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer and creams, a change of clothing or two, snacks, and a smartphone and a wallet, often in a series of pockets designed with specific items in mind. Some also have external, sometimes insulated, pockets for milk and/or water bottles, and designated straps to hook the bag onto your stroller. (Note: Though the JPMA and Consumer Reports advise against hanging a bag on a stroller because of the tip risk, most diaper bag makers—and parents—ignore this warning).

Another thing that sets it apart is a high-end look and feel as well as some additional features that are nice but not essential—there’s a set of luggage-style feet that keep the bag up off a dirty surface (a feature no other pick has). There’s a unique velvet pocket that protects your sunglasses, a keyring so you can find your keys in a snap, and two open insulated pockets that are nice for bottles (but honestly they were not amazing insulators). Plus, with details such as gold metal hardware, we thought the B.F.F. looked the most fashion-forward out of our top picks. The construction feels really robust, although you do see some occasional complaints of things breaking that really shouldn’t.

After applying our criteria, we ended up with a list of a dozen bags to test. As soon as the bags arrived, we examined the overall design, features, and pocket structure carefully. Then my husband and I spent six weeks carrying the bags daily in everyday life, using each bag for at least two days and the best ones for far longer than that (I’m a 5-foot-3 woman; my husband is 5-foot-10). We were consistent in how we packed each one. We kept it to the basics: a few diapers, a travel pack of wipes, a change of clothing for our 18-month old son, an insulated lunch bag with snacks (usually crackers, Cheerios, granola bars, and oranges), a 16.9-ounce disposable water bottle, sunscreen, toys (usually a toy car or two), tissue, hand sanitizer, a smartphone, wallet, and keys. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/59/b7/26/59b726462d484031c3f8159885504e22.jpg

The solid colors of the Take Two Diaper Bag also make it a cinch to personalize – just choose your favorite thread color and font! Here’s a personalization tip: Your last name or initial work just as well as baby’s name on your diaper bag! The neutral colors also make it the perfect canvas for Icon-Its, or choose a new Floral Letter or Blackboard Initial monogram. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/95/fc/ea/95fcea7cdf3d33826c24557f88cb5554--harvest-moon-icing.jpg
I just absolutely love this company and the products so much variety of choices they carry. The great opportunity that they give women to going to business for themselves. I am not a consultant or representative, but I met a wonderful couple of ladies at a friends house and purchased two items. The quality is immeasurable and I love that they even monogram. I've been anxious to get my items, but it seems to take a few weeks. I will say they don't charge your credit card until the items have been shipped. And I love my free gift, I received when I placed an order over $30. I found the price is very reasonable and will be using my tote and cute little backpack/purse for years to come!
Seemingly the most common complaint about this bag is that the main zippered compartment is deep, narrow, and simply not big enough. On the plus side, the narrow compartment means that the Skip Hop Duo Signature isn’t too bulky, as many other diaper bags bags we tested were. But it also means that you may end up stacking your stuff in the main compartment, and not having much room for extras. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/b6/c4/32/b6c4323892526f87e1600e521c9e1659--alexander-technique-big-fish.jpg
Thirty One Gifts has affordable products for everyone, thanks to their large catalog. From small accessories like their $3 decorative nail file to the $60 large Elite Retro Metro bucket-style bag, there are several products at every price point. Thrifty shoppers are sure to love Thirty One Gifts' monthly customer specials and inexpensive organizational sets.
Expecting twins? Skip Hop’s signature Duo diaper bag comes in a bigger model that’s perfect for parents of multiples or those with two under two. The Duo Double’s generous size—it’s 18 inches long and 13.25 inches high—and 16 pockets (including two insulated bottle pockets) make it an ideal diaper bag for parents who need to tote around two of everything. Plus, the Duo Double boasts that it’s the only diaper bag designed for specifically for side-by-side double strollers. (In fact, it’s not for use with single strollers). It also has tote straps and a removable messenger strap, as well as an included changing pad. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/a3/47/bf/a347bf2ced6eda05a0f3ddecb8982a4e--thirty-one-organization-ideas.jpg
Reasonably priced and widely available. You can find diaper bags for as little as $15 and as much as $1,500. We opted for a middle ground, and set a maximum price of $200. We focused on popular bags commonly found at major retailers such as Babies“R”Us, BuyBuy Baby, Target, and Amazon. We didn’t find much for $25 and under. “Don’t get taken by a cheap one, because it’s going to fall apart and you’ll need to buy something else,” Meg Collins, founder of Lucie’s List, told us. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/c9/f4/30/c9f430e14b4f7a51971e0c5662165d15.jpg

Chances are, your pretty little pre-baby tote isn’t up for the job. And while there’s really no need to cart around enough gear to fill a wheeled suitcase, you are likely going to want a bag that’s specifically designed for the task, with parent-friendly features like convertible straps so you can carry it in multiple ways, the ability to attach it to your stroller, insulated pockets for bottles, pockets for organizing, a changing pad, and plenty of interior room.

We did not consider cult-favorite brand Timi & Leslie because almost all of its bags are made with leather and weigh 2 pounds or more. The OiOi and JJ Cole diaper bags are also on the heavier side, according to their online specs. We were intrigued by some of the newest diaper bags available, such as the Boken Diaper Bag, a lightweight, convertible diaper bag, and the Paperclip Diaper Bag, aimed at dads, with a built-in changing station for when a changing table isn’t available in the men’s restroom. (Like the Petunia Pickle Bottom boxy backpack, the changing pad folds out from the front of the bag; the Paperclip also has a wall on both sides.). Unfortunately, enough customers complained about broken zippers with the Boken Diaper Bag that we decided to hold off on field-testing it, and at the time of our review, the Paperclip Diaper Bag cost over $200. https://i.pinimg.com/736x/f4/f5/d7/f4f5d7c98ec77306c41b447dcd43447a.jpg
To figure out how big of a baby diaper bag you'll need, put some thought into how many things you'll want to be carrying around. It's not just for baby diapers and baby essentials (dont' forget nipple cream, lotions, baby sunscreen, and maybe even one of the smaller best breast pumps), but the baby bag will also be responsible for holding the contents of your purse unless you plan on carrying both the baby bag and your purse around all day (which we don't suggest!). So that means you'll want to make sure the baby diaper bag is big enough to hold all of the baby essentials along with things like your wallet, keys, lip balm, tissues, makeup, sunglasses, and anything else you carry around in your purse on a daily basis. Otherwise it's not really about finding the right diaper bags for moms, it becomes more about shoving in all the baby stuff and leaving mom's things behind! https://i.pinimg.com/236x/69/53/cf/6953cf980705b09f31df901c7eb882e0--thirty-one-thermal-my-thirty-one.jpg
The Jeep Diaper Backpack was roomy, and had plenty of pockets for organization, including a zippered, insulated pocket for a bottle on the side of the bag. But it did not have an open pocket for a bottle, which meant that anytime we needed a drink, we had to remove the backpack from our shoulders and unzip one of the pockets. We ran into the same problem with the Bag Nation Diaper Backpack. Almost identical in design to the Jeep Diaper Bag, the Bag Nation Diaper Backpack also did not have any open pockets, though it did have an insulated pocket for a bottle on the side.
The diaper bag is one of the most important baby essentials for a prepared parent. Once you leave the house, you will need to bring a ton of supplies like diapers, baby wipes, a changing pad, snacks, baby bottles, burping cloths, pacifiers, lotions, diaper rash creams, cloth diapers, and a change of clothes. Plus don't forget your own stuff, like our wallet, phone and keys! The good news is that there are hundreds of baby diaper bags on the market designed to make your life much easier. The bad news is that some of them aren't so great, and some of them are downright ugly! Here is our full diaper bag buying guide. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/f5/51/1a/f5511abb43ffc1488cc9bb8f27e62ecb--thirty-one-fall-thirty-one-gifts.jpg
The BPA-free, phthalate-free polyester bag features 10 handy pockets—including an easy-access tech pocket for your phone—as well as a zip-top closure, tote handles and a shoulder strap with slip-on shoulder pad, and the company’s patented shuttle clips that let you attach it to your stroller. It’s big enough to hold a 15-inch laptop or tablet and comes with a cushioned changing pad. A new front panel design has added to both the storage capacity and stability of the bag. Bonus: It’s available in a wide array of gender-neutral patterns and colors. Overall, it’s a spacious, lightweight, durable, and good-looking diaper bag.
With four elastic pockets inside, two side-zip pockets, and two interior elastic pen pockets, the Super Swap-It Pocket is a fabulous way to organize and carry small items. From tablet and smart phone accessories to receipts, gift cards, planners and more, this essential organizing insert can travel on its own or fit neatly inside a larger tote or bag to keep contents squared away. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/a5/6c/76/a56c7621770a2237f37c5a3cd97a2cea.jpg
